"... or maybe somehow, because I'm empathetic, I'm weak. I totally rebel against that. I refuse to believe that you cannot be both compassionate and strong." - Jacinda Ardern
Sabrina is obviously freckled, nonobviously disabled and special in any other way. She is a woman, comes from a non-academic family, has a migration background and is disabled. But she is also an award-winning journalist, an academic who has studied at elite universities in three different countries and has received nine scholarships. Statistics say that Sabrina does not even exist - because of her intersectional background. But Sabrina is real. As half Sicilian, Sabrina is born with a built-in speaker to seed her ideas even to those who are miles away. And because disability means special needs for Sabrina the freckly journalist, it's her purpose to spread awareness for a more diverse and inclusive world. So that abled people can grow and people with special needs can feel what they are: Special.
